Last year, I attended an event in Toronto run by a few great, local technologists. In it’s debut year, they piled in hundreds of attendees including developers and enthusiasts and had an informative group of presenters. In short, it was an exciting experience that was, needless to say, heavily memorable. At the time, I was only in my early stages of understanding Android development, but was a huge fan of the platform. Over the year, I’ve begun to understand the platform a lot better, both from a developer and user perspective, and a lot of it is because of that conference and the people I met. Along with this growth, I’ve also gotten to know the group that created the event from their own bare hands – a team that’s passionate about technology and wants to do nothing but push it forward. These values are necessary in an industry that needs growth in our local area. On October 26th, AndroidTO will, for one day, bring groundbreaking technologies to the forefront, and will inspire for days to come. Read more
